What it is

These are industrial laser-based dimensioning scanners manufactured by Mettler-Toledo Cargoscan AS (Oslo, Norway). The model CSN950MH is part of the Cargoscan 900-series, designed for automatic parcel and freight measurement in logistics centers, warehouses, and air cargo hubs.



They are installed above or beside conveyor systems to automatically measure length, width, and height of parcels moving at high speed. This information is then used for billing, logistics optimization, and automated handling.



These scanners use a Class 1 laser (660 nm) with a rotating polygon mirror and optical sensor system to generate 3D measurements of passing objects.
